Dr. Deepak Chhabra joined Lilavati Hospital as a Clinical Fellow in GI Surgical Oncology in 2003 and is now a Consultant Surgical Oncologist with more than 10 years of experience in clinical practice. Dr. Chhabra has operated more than 5000 cases of various forms of cancers. Dr. Chhabra has received specialist training in Hepato (Liver) -Biliary (Gallbladder) and Pancreatic Cancer Surgeries from Nagoya University at Japan under the expert guidance of Prof Yuji Nimura. He completed MS , DNB, MRCS , Fellow GI Surgical Oncology, Specialist HPB training, Clinical Fellow Minimal Invasive and Robotic Surgery. Dr. Chhabra is a certified Robotic Surgeon and has received his training in Laparoscopic (Minimal Invasive) and Robotic Cancer surgeries from Yonsei University at Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Chhabra is a part of teaching faculty for the national board of examinations in Surgical Oncology.
